What Is The Difference Between A Salary And Hourly Wages?
A salary, whether it be monthly or per annum is an agreed upon payment that has been agreed to by the employer and employee. It is usually contracted and paid on the agreed upon date. It also doesn’t usually fluctuate, unless agreed upon with raises or benefits. A wage, on the other hand, is hourly wages and is performance based. These wages do fluctuate depending on the number of hours the employee has worked. Depending on your type of work, you can agree to hourly wages or a once off salary agreement with your employer.
